Cassini Huygens after traveling for 20 years and spending 10 years around Saturn here it comes to an end. Cassini has traveled along planet Venus, Earth, Mars and Jupiter before entering Saturn’s belt. Cassini has taken almost 4 million images right from the starting of the mission. The $4 billion dollar cost satellite has finally plunged towards Saturn sending its final images to us.

The end of Cassini Huygens chapter in the book of history will be well cherished.

Here are the last photos of Saturn, its rings, Titan and other moons.

As it glanced around the Saturn system one final time, NASA’s Cassini spacecraft captured this view of the planet’s giant moon Titan. These views were obtained by Cassini’s narrow-angle camera on Sept. 13, 2017. They are among the last images Cassini sent back to Earth. Source: NASA

This image of Saturn’s outer A ring features the small moon Daphnis and the waves it raises in the edges of the Keeler Gap. The image was taken by NASA’s Cassini spacecraft on Sept. 13, 2017. It is among the last images Cassini sent back to Earth. Source: NASA

This view of Saturn’s A ring features a lone “propeller” — one of many such features created by small moonlets embedded in the rings as they attempt, unsuccessfully, to open gaps in the ring material. This monochrome view is the last image taken by the imaging cameras on NASA’s Cassini spacecraft. It looks toward the planet’s night side, lit by reflected light from the rings, and shows the location at which the spacecraft would enter the planet’s atmosphere hours later. Source: NASA

Cassini has ended its 13 years of Saturn tour, left us with a hope to find life on its moons especially Enceladus, with its subsurface ocean and signs of Hydrothermal Activity.
