China’s Smartphone brands challenge Samsung and Apple.

With the increase in demand of Smartphone usage globally china has achieved quite a market share compared to the top leading brands. As per the reports mentioned by the Gartner market research firm, the Smartphone sales in Q3 have increased 3% from the same period last year.

Global leaders Samsung and Apple have shown raise in sales and were able to defend the top spots from the Chinese based companies. As quoted by Anish Gupta “Sales in smart phones have increased in China despite the market weakness in China. In emerging Asia Pacific both Samsung and Huawei saw a double digit grow along with the other competitors Xiaomi and vivo which are showing an increasing demand outside the home markets.”

Among the top 5 Smart phones Apple is the only vendor whose sales did not cross the 10% margin compared to the same quarter last year. Samsung has the most impressive quarter with a whopping 19.3% increase compared to the same last year. The major sale is because of the Samsung S8 demand and comparison with Apple it did not release its iPhone X for sale until October.

China is still the largest Smartphone market leader despite the 11% downfall of the sales share compared to the previous year. Chinese market on a whole accounts to 27.9% of sales in units which is twice the sales compared to North America.
