The 2017 edition of Europe’s largest tech show, IFA is underway in Berlin. It has also got fame for being the world’s largest trade show for home appliances and customer electronics. So here are the top 5 big announcements by the tech giants.
Sony has always been the first priority in terms of camera. It offers a wide range of compact cameras with 1 inch CMOS sensors. In this new model they have fitted the same imaging components into the tough and waterproof shell which is roughly the size of typical action camera.
It is waterproof down to 33ft/10m, shockproof from the height of 6.5ft/2m and crushproof from forces up to 440lb/200kg.
Another complement feature added is the ability to link all the RX with each other for astonishing techniques like bullet time. It has been launched with price tag of $700 each, available from October onwards.
Acer Switch 7
It is the latest version of the Acer Switch series but it is the first 2 in 1 hybrid Windows laptops. It is also the first in terms of kickstand that can by its own deploy and auto retracts once you are finished.
Rather having a fan, it works on the liquid cooling technology and weighs just 1.13 kg. It also features a distinct graphics chip for an amazing gaming experience. With a 13.5 inch touch screen, it will be supported by Intel’s 8th generation Core-I processors. Price is expected to start at $1699.
Learning from the feedbacks of G6 and V20, LG has launched its latest flagship named V30. This flagship features ultra slim bezel design which is named as FullVision. Its screen is almost same to the screen of 5.5 inch phone.
It has a dual camera, like the G6 whose one ultra wide angle lens can be used to capture amusing perspectives. There’s also IP68 certification.
Sony Smart Speaker
Sony is not lagging behind in the race of smart speakers. It has launched one like Google Home which is powered by Google Assistant. To play the music it has Bluetooth and NFC. It also tell the time, control smart home products, perform Google searches, check your calendar, tell the weather and all the usual things you’d expect. It also has a feature of gesture control while the music is being played. You can control the playback by waving hands above the speakers. It’s shipping would start in October with price of $199.
The Company mainly known for fitness bands has come up with smartwatch called Ionic. Rather than powered by Android Wear it has Fitbit OS.
The cause of calling it a smartwatch is its ability to support third party apps. It has Bluetooth, GPS, Wifi, multiple watch faces and all other fitness features. Company claims 4 days of battery life. It also has a different and accurate way of measuring the heartbeat. It uses a combination of red, green and infrared LEDs. One can also use it for swim workouts.
