With a new update that the OnePlus 5T phone won’t support wireless charging, news doing the rounds is that it might probably cost the same as OnePlus 5. Considered one among the 10 best smartphones, the launch date is 16th November this year, and the subsequent release date is 21 November 21.
Documents have suggested that a 64 GB version of the phone will cost $479 and the 128 GB variant, $539. The new flagship phone of OnePlus has a larger screen than its predecessor but similar design. Display is rumored to be six-inch with ration of 18:9. However, there are uncertainties on the screen resolution. Extensive leaks from anonymous sources are revealing the phone to come up with resolution 2160×1080. This could make it look like iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S8, and LG V30. 5T is also said to have super thin bezels. It can have fingerprint sensors at the back of the device. Official release from OnePlus says that it will keep the 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Rumored camera specifications are two 20MP sensors working together. The CEO of OnePlus has teased the upgraded Portrait mode. This handheld powerhouse is packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and heavy RAM storage. Most specifications would be similar to OnePlus itself. A 256 GB variant is unlikely to be seen. The battery however can be upgraded to 3450 mAh cell. The measurement is said to be 157×74.50×7.25 and weight 164 grams. It will be a dual sim smartphone accepting a nano SIM. One Plus 5T will also possess features like Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, and Gyroscope. The phone will have an optic AMOLED touchscreen consisting of 16 million colors.
CEO Pete Lau’s has accepted that although wireless charging is an exciting concept, a dash charger is always better. The reason is that while dash charger can produce 20 watts of power enough for a day’s charge, even the best wireless charger can max out 15 watts. Besides, dash charge is power efficient and cool. They have assured of employing the technology when the time is right, and hence the new model won’t see a wireless charging option.
